I am a member of Des Moines Post 731, currently serving as Treasurer. I am a former active duty Marine who served with 3D Recon in Okinawa Japan, 1983-1984, then with 2D Recon at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, 1984-1987. I was discharged in 1989 and 18 years later joined the Iowa Army National Guard, 194th Long Range Surveillence (Airborne) where I am currently serving on active duty.
My wife Karen and I where married on November 9th, 2007 (One day shy of the Marine Corps Birthday) at the chapel on Camp Dodge. Between us, we have 4 daughters, Jordain, Sara, Holly and Makenzie, and live in Johnston Iowa. Karen works at Drake University in the alumni department. (GO BULLDOGS!!!)
We enjoy riding and feel very fortunate to be a part of the American Legion Riders.

So far the weather here is still nice, going back into the mid 80's & sunny for the weekend! Good time for the rubber to hit the road!! LOL
