Update
Guess I should provide an update. Last week I had to have emergency surgery for an infection that developed in my left leg. I now have a hole the size of a quarter in my left leg just above my angle. I've been transferred to the VA Hospital in Des Moines where they take me to Mercy Hospital every afternoon for three hours in their hyperbaric chamber for the next 30 days. To put things in perspective the docs told me that if I had waited another 24 - 36 hours I would have lost my left leg! Thanks to Dr Burke for having the insight to send me to the Emergency Room at Univ of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Thanks also for all the prayers.
My goal had been to ride in the Missing in Iowa Ride on April 24th; unfortunately, I won't be finished with the hyperbaric chamber treatments yet so my new goal is to attend the Boy Scout's Dedication in eastern Iowa. Wow, what a difference a year makes!
If anyone is in the DM area please feel free to stick your head in and say hi. Oh, by the way I replaced my wreaked Goldwing with a new black 2009 BMW K1200LT Hannigan Trike. If I may say so it's a bute!

Man, if it weren't fer 'bad luck' it seems like you'd have no luck at all! (Guess I'll have to pray a little harder...)
