Sounds like a new definition of pain! You are in our prayers, Brother.

So, uh, how much hardware did it take to put you back together?

(You can't ask a question like that, sicko! I'm striking it out...) :^O

(Go ahead. They will still be able to read it...) :vp

(Rats!!! How did you do that?) :^(

(I'm not telling!) :vp

Bob, don't listen to that other guy. You just take it easy and get better. Any chance of seeing you at the Romp? Just hoping...

TOMORROW I LEAVE REHAB AND GO HOME. RIGHT AFTER LABOR DAY I'LL START A 6 - 12 MONTH OUTPATIENT REHAB REGIMENT. THE GOOD NEWS IS I'M WALKING WITH A CANE AND MY LEFT ARM HAS GOOD RANGE OF MOTION. I PLAN ON ORDERING A TRIKE IN TIME FOR SPRING.

MY MESSAGE IS IF YOU WERE THE PROPER PROTECTIVE GEAR (HELMET, KAVLAR MESH JACKET & PANTS) YOU CAN SURVIVE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. IF I DID NOT HAQVE MY HELMET ON I WOULD NOT BE SITTING HERE WRITING THIS AND IF I DIDN'T HAVE THE KAVLAR I WOULD BE COVERED WITH ROAD RASH BUT I GOT ABSOLUTELY NO ROAD RASH ON MY BODY!

THANKS FOR YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AND YOU WILL SEE ME ON THE ROAD IN 2009!

BOB

Hey brother I tried to beat up a Dodge pickup with my 03 WideGlide in 06 . Shatered my left leg just above the ankle and broke my left wrist also. All this happened July 2, 2006. I just had my 8th or 9th surgury , So I'll wlays keep you in mind. Glad to hear that you are gettin better and know that you will go as far as you want to . Now you know why I am called (icrashharleys) . The worst part for me was the fact that thw wife was behind me on her Riddley , so she got to watch the whole thang , and she is a Hospice RN too. The Dumb ass ran a red light by the way , plus he was speeding .Now I am on a Big ole Ultra Classic Geezer Glide , who would have thought. I took almost a year before I was able to get this one . Got it in late August in 07 and so far only put about 14.500 miles on it , and it's all mine. Crash

My wife got to watch me as well from her BMW and she is an Occupational Therapist. One of the few times she was behind me that day. Shes been an inspiration through this whole t and I think I'll keep her around. The only complaint I have is that she goes out riding and leaves me stuck a home!!! I have to have surgery on my shoulder and wouldn't be surprise if it has to be replaced. Right now I have less than 20% use of my left arm. Everything else is coming along fine. 9 surgeries, that has to suck but you are riding and that's an inspiration for me. I plan on being on a Goldwing trike sometime ext summer!

I'm scheduled to have shoulder surgery at the University of Iowa Hospital on 02 Dec. I'm going to look at a bike next week called the Stallion. It's made by the people who make the Motor Trike conversions kits. It's unique in that it has a steering wheel and is an automatic both of which I have to have. If you want to see a picture of it just google Stallion trike. Like I told my wife when I was laying in the ditch "I will ride again"

Good for you Bob. I looked at the Stallion. Very nice. I hope to see you in it real soon.
